Please note that you can not claim Job Seekers Allowance, Incapacity Benefit, Employment & Support Allowance or Carer's Allowance if you are running a business at Pop Up Margate. However, you may be eligible for Working Tax Credit, a Back to Work Grant or an Enterprise Grant. Contact the Job Centre to check how starting a business affects you. We are legally obliged to respond to Job Centre & HMRC requests for information about Licensees.
Please note that completing this form does not guarantee a Licence to trade at Pop Up Margate. Licences are issued on a four week basis, commencing on a Saturday. You should pay your first week's rent when you sign your Licence, after which rent is payable weekly in advance and will be collected on Fridays at 12 noon. You must give one week's notice to terminate your Licence. When you sign your Licence, you will become responsible for the Business Rates for your unit, but if you are eligible and complete a Small Business Rate Relief Form, no Business rates should be payable.
